Will it live up to the hype of the movie ?
From the award winning movie La la Land, the soundtrack from the movie was a definite listen for me, to really see what all this hype was about. Lets just say I was not disappointed, this soundtrack to an amazing movie is just stunning.
The typical musical traits you expect and the wide range of tracks ranging from emotional love ballads, to upbeat songs where everyone is dancing. This album is perfect for all musical lovers. This album got me hooked from the geniuses behind the lyrics BenJ Pasek & Justin Paul, writing such deep and emotional lyrics to tracks like City of Stars.
The instrumentation gives you goosebumps, the piano the big stand stand out, with you wanting to quickly learn the pieces, to impress everyone you know. The instruments also helps set the mood of the piece, pushing you to feel what the characters are feeling while singing, creating a emotional journey full of wonder and love.
The person behind the music Justin Hurtwitz does a stunning job making the music rememberable. For me, in my top musical soundtracks. Theirs so much work he has put into these tracks and it shows, each track so unique but captures what you would expect any musical songs.
The main song for me is “City Of Stars”, with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone showing some raw emotions, capturing the romance this track needs. The singing is strong with the tenor of Ryan contrasting with the alto of Emma really shines and works stunningly.
I would give this album a 8 out of ten putting it down on my list as perfect, why you think of this album tell me down below ??
Perfect Music? 
it issss the perfectly album!! i have friends who don’t like it because there isn’t much of a big ensemble and they’re not like your typical show numbers, but i really like the soundtrack and the movie… and thanks for dropping by my blog. x
